About to start reloading for this combination.

Due to the fact that my beloved RL22 is NOWHERE to be found around here what do you suggest as loads. My goal is 3300 fps and good accuracy.

Hmmmm lots of powder a bullet and a primer.

P.S. I'm a little full of it please excuse me. ( Knob Creek )

I am thinking that IMR 4350 Magpro and RL17. These I have

Those should work. Several years ago I was using H4350 with the 100 gr bullets for 3340 fps and good accuracy.

H4831 also produced excellent accuracy, but came up somewhat short of H4350 for velocity.

Enjoy that .25-06, it should turn out to be one mighty fine pronghorn, coyote & deer rifle. Mine sure has!

Regards, Guy

It would be great if it likes H4350. I am trying to downsize in types of powders since availability is so bad. Hope it gets better.

I use that in my 416 Bee and hopefully my 30-06

That's one of the reasons I'm such a fan of H4350. I'm able to use it for good loads in several cartridges:

.375 H&H, 300 gr bullets (not bad with 260/270 gr either)
.300 WSM, 165 - 210 gr bullets
.30-06, 165 & 180 gr bullets
.25-06, 100 gr bullets
6mm Rem, 95 & 100 gr bullets

Have also used it happily in the 7mm Rem mag & .257 Weatherby. It's worked out real well for me, and there's almost always an 8 lb jug of it here. Gets down about half full, I order up another jug.

I always used IMR 7828 with my 120 grain Partitions in the .25-06. It should work well for you also.

Lots of positive responses here for H 4350, as makes sense. It is a very usefull powder in lots of calibers, and great in the 25-06.

However, while I have tried H 4350 in the 25-06, I still get my best performance when using bullets of 75-100 grains when I load IMR 4831 powder. Most of the time I get good performance with Fed 210 primers, but have found a few loads that benefit from a Fed 210M.

I would think H4530, H4831, IMR4831 would be good choices.
RL25 and Retumbo might be too slow for the 100 gr BT but the 115 gr BT would work well. I really like the 115 gr BT and that is what I would lean towards. YMMV.

The bid isn't escalating as fast as I thought it might have. Perhaps there is a measure of sanity in the buying public after all.

Incredible! That is almost hard to believe. The price exceeds even what we pay here in the far north.

Don't forget retumbo Fotis!
I get 3300 at 61.5 and 1/2-3/4 MOA out of my model 70 w/100 NBTs
RL22 is still 100fps faster and 1/4/-1/2 MOA combo for a better combo.

I use 52.4gn x IMR4350 & Fed.210M - works a treat with 100gn BT's...Cheers. ET :)

Currently though, I'm using the 110gn AB bullet and have mixed results on thin skinned deer.
Yup, the bullet is accurate & kills the game......but not bang, flop!
They run some when the bullet passes right through.
I'll have to start breaking shoulders or necking them when possible.
