A ridiculously obvious spin on sweet potatoes. I'm somewhat ashamed I didn't think to try it sooner.

4 large sweet potatoes
Slightly less than 1/2 cup heavy cream
4 tablespoons butter
Crushed or ground black pepper to taste

Peel and cube the taters into ~ 2" pieces. Boil just as you normally would - for 20 minutes to half an hour, or until they fall apart with a fork. Coarsely mash. Add the cream, butter and pepper, and whip with a mixer.

These go great with most any meat dish, but particularly with game. I first had them at the Weber Grill restaurant in Chicago a few weeks ago and made my mind up I was going to try to duplicate them. One more reason I love my KitchenAid stand mixer!

Very nice! That does sound pretty good. Might have to whip them up this week! HA! Thanks for the idea buddy!

Sounds like a great way to have sweet potatos.

With a lipitor chaser for us older dudes!

I can see making this in the near future. It looks great. Gives thanks for Lipitor, Fotis. It buys you and extra... Okay, it makes me feel as if you can get away with something.

I been on it for 20 years:( but I know that it helps.
They say exercise will help too;) if I had 2 helpings of those sweet spuds I would have to be in the gym for 2 days straight
It sounds delicious!!

Blessings,
Dan
