Found this herd this afternoon about 1400. About 1/2 mile from the house. We tried to count but they are about 300 yards from the road. Best guess is there are about 60 elk. Guessing by color there were several bulls in the bunch but no glass in the truck. Snow line on south facing slopes is pretty high, 5 to 6 K. Catherine guessed they are part of the Minum herd so they have to go over the top, still five feet of snow or more up there.
