7mm is more than acceptable for moose even the big ones! I do agree that 140 is small for a moose but this was a bull - CALF (400lbs) and like I said the first shot in the vitals was a complete pass through.

Shot a bull Calf moose on Saturday with my 7mmSAUM 60gr of H4350 behind a 140gr nosler AB. I got one pass through in the vitals at 60 yards and while it was running away, I tried to put one in the back of his head. I missed and shot straight up the spine I found the 140gr AB while skinning and...

I see how that could have been frustrating but I don't know if I would blame that on the "Modern Muzzle loader" rather blame should be put on the fish and wildlife branch for not setting up proper restrictions.(If they felt that using the modern M/L was too much of an advantage for that season)...

I forgot to add that I have no guilt with the choice of instruments I use to hunt with or how I hunt. I do feel guilty that I can't afford and don't have time to use them all both traditional and new!!!!!!!! Camper

I am thinking about loading 150gr A/B for my .300 savage . I am currently Loading 150gr N/P using 41 gr of IMR 4895. Should there be any difference in the amount of powder I use for the A/Bs I will start low and work a load up but I do not have any reloading specs for the A/B? Camper
