The good thing is paper and deer aint gonna notice the lower Velocity lol. Iv heard for long time H and imr4895 is great in 308 , 3006 and many others . Especially good for the m1 3006 . So figured it must bee good for the average autoloader
Well lets hope that h4895 will work in this browning bar mk4 ! I just ordered 8lbs of it !! Got it on sale with free shipping . If anything itll get used in my bolt guns I guess.
First ill be trying 150gr nosler ballistic tip in it if it dont like that ill try partition or hornady sst
Bigger reason for a tipped bullet for this load is because its for a autoloader . Browning BAR mk4 . I figured it would reduce/ stop from smashing the lead tips when cycling.
I use a Sierra gameking btsp in one gun . It did the job with a base of neck shot . Crazy part is it didnt exit!! And...
I just didn't know how tough that accubond for partition bullet was honestly if I'm going to hit him in the base of the neck just order the shoulder any soft point would probably work the amount of shock is what's going to break the neck probably
That would be to easy 🤣.
Ideally yeah that would work great especially with a 175gr matching (m118LR) load. Thay do the damage.
Unfortunately the state of Alabama you have to use an expanding bullet. We have shots a few dear with the 175 grain load it goes through both shoulders !.
I can place bullet anywhere i want out to 1k yards . Learned that very well with a issued m24 sws . Its the preference of the bullet that would probably make a difference if you try drive it through a high shoulder shot VS just say through the flesh and heart or lungs.
One bullet might just...
Man those look like thay did great.. did you recover those recovered from deer ? The accubond seems like a tipped partition thats bonded .. im really tempted to try these on a high shpulder shot or base of neck shot
