Several years ago we were talking with a guy who does a lot of crop management deer shooting. He started with a 300 Weatherby, then a 30-378, and settled on the 338-378 in order to not have them run.
Yes.
My rule is that deer will run unless, as Dr Mike noted, the CNS is taken out.
I can't recall one that didn't, at least for a short distance, no matter what rifle or bullet I (or someone with me) was shooting.
It might not be along run, but plan on it happening.
Give these guys a call:

I used them for my floor and did the "full chip system", as did my Dad.
I think they service your area since they work out of Jenison. They've done work for us in Holland and Twin Lake.
The only thing I don't use my Co-Ax for is removing bullets with a collet, and using a Willis collet die on some brass. That's it. For those purposes I have a plain RCBS press on a small stand off to the side.
That sounds very similar to the barn I built, though I opted for radiant overhead heating. My Dad's has a forced air heater, and when I used to work on cars there I found the temp difference from floor to ceiling quite notable. I have no such issue with the radiant, but I think he has less...
Yes, I do.
I wear them when handling the Imperial dry lube, and then loading, as well as when priming and dispensing powder.
It helps minimize dirty hands, and also keeps the primers clean.
Of course, I'm not a stranger to using them, so it works well for me.
I don't think they would be difficult to find.
We use Dragon Speak on a couple of computers at work, and recently had a medical records AI demonstration that transcribed as a visit went along.
My iPhone does it too if I want it to do so.
I know the feeling.
Unfortunately the Ruger Americans are hardly worth selling online, because by the time you add shipping plus receiving FFL transfer fee it's cheaper to buy one locally.
New on GB $415 and up for a Gen 1, used $399 incl scope and up.
You sure you don't need it for a truck gun? Something to loan one of the veterans who hunt, or similar?
So, it's not ammo for a 338 Federal...
it's Federal Fusion 200gr bullets that happen to be 338 caliber, and can be used in any 338 cartridge.
I'd be tempted to try them in my 338-06.
Price?
Seeing as Evinrude stopped making engines in 2020, I doubt that anyone is really buying them any more. I have one of the Johnson outboards (9.9) from when Bombardier made them for a short time in the early 2000s. Other than the fact that the carburetor has rotten out twice despite using only...
You already heard it, but I'll also say I don't cam over. Annealed brass (or brass in general) isn't so stiff that it takes that much force to reshape it.
It gets a firm press, and that's all.
Yes, I know as I use them all the time, though for me it's the down stroke since I use a Forster press.
However, you might not "drive" the case in as deep was my thought. I know that I can adjust how tight the collet pinches the case by adjusting the die, so it was worth a try to see if it helped.
