I've had two B&C that fit poorly. Same style stock for same model rifle.
The first one I modified to fit, as it was close enough. The forend bent too high, and it was a challenge to remove enough material to free float the barrel.
The second one was much worse. B&C gave me the old "it fits our...
I have two different sizes of the JetSled.
It was developed here in Michigan, and I knew the owners of the company (Shappell). I had dinner with them at the SHOT show a few times.
Both great guys who were meticulous about details.
My Dad did all of their ice fishing shanty importing for many...
Without getting into a discussion on lands vs accuracy, did he consider removing the divider at the rear of the magazine to make it longer?
If a short action 307 is like all of the rest of Weatherby's rifles, there is a divider towards the back that is removable and sets the length.

I had a 2013 GMC 1500, sold it 2 years ago when I stumbled upon a stellar deal for a low mileage never-seen-salt 2017. I had hoped to take it over 200000 miles, and almost made it before the sale.
The 2013 engine dropped a lifter at ~160000 miles so I rebuilt the upper end and did AFM delete...
I would probably look at the Sierra ProHunter as a bullet.

If you want a 180, the Speer HotCor is the one:

Barnes TTSX or the Nosler Ballistic Tip.
I have used the BT exclusively so far with excellent results. One of my friends uses the TTSX with excellent results as well.
Those are the two I would try.
Just got back from 10 days of hunting in Namibia, with Dad and I hunting. I had my 7mm Wby, Dad had his 300 Wby.
3 oryx, 2 kudu, 2 impala, 3 springbok, 1 blue wildebeest, 1 Burchell's zebra in total.
All Barnes TTSX, no tracking needed. The PHs were thrilled.
Several years ago we were talking with a guy who does a lot of crop management deer shooting. He started with a 300 Weatherby, then a 30-378, and settled on the 338-378 in order to not have them run.
Yes.
My rule is that deer will run unless, as Dr Mike noted, the CNS is taken out.
I can't recall one that didn't, at least for a short distance, no matter what rifle or bullet I (or someone with me) was shooting.
It might not be along run, but plan on it happening.
