Where did you see that? What was the barrel length? Under "normally accepted" parameters, it would be difficult to get 3000FPS with 180 grain bullet in a standard 30-06. I've heard of some impressive numbers using Norma MRP powder, but I've not heard an honest 3000 fps. Maybe with a 30-32...
