JD338 ,
Thanks for the Target web page . I will get some made up so I'm ready to go when my scope comes back. I have been reading Remmingtonman_25_06 posts about his long range shooting. This is all new to me so I'm sure to have a few questions.
I built a portable bench for long range...
JD338 My scope is a 2.5x8 vari x III . My rifle is a stainless/synthetic Ruger MK II in 260 Rem caliber. This year I bought the new Ruger stock as I never liked the original stock it came with. I also added a limbsaver recoil pad. This will be my long range Deer rifle.

JD338 Very nice Elk picture and great shooting. I second remingtonman_25_06 post about the M1 dials. Thanks for posting pictures of your rifle and range setup. You have a fine looking rifle and scope.
I mailed my vari x III out Monday to Leupold for the M I conversion. They said it would...
JD338 Can you explane what an M 1 dial does? How does it work and what does it cost? I have the same scope and would like to shoot long range ( up to 600 yds ). I have a Burris ballistic plex on my varmint rifle and its very easy to use. Thanks Greyfox
I am looking for some help on some hunting loads for a 41 mag Rifle. What bullet-powder combinations have worked for you. What chronographed velocities are you getting from the rifle. Hunting stories of how it performed would be nice to know. Thanks, Greyfox
My Ruger MKII in 260 Remington would be very-very happy to shoot a 125-130 Accubond to harvest some Deer and Elk, and fill our freezer with meat for the long cold Winter.

We bought a Redding 10X powder measure from Midway. Just to let anyone who is interested in buying one that it is an excellent powder measure. Both Win 231 powder and Alliant's Unique powder measured out to the 10th off a grain every time. When you dial back the settings from one powder to the...

When Ruger came out with the new MK II stainless/synthetic stocked rifles, I went and traded my blue/wood MK II for a Stainless 280 Rem.That rifle would shoot 1" or less if I did my part. Now I had a rifle that would not change point of impact no matter what time of year I shot it...
I have used both bullets on deer from 65 yards to 200 yards. They are both exellent choices. The 125 partition will be the best choice if your shots are taken at any angle into the deer. If you have mostly broadside lung/heart shots the 120 BT is great. All my broadside shots with both bullets...
Has anyone used the Redding 10X powder measure for loading the 45 ACP. Does it throw very consistant charges of 4 to 7 grains of pistol powders?

After reading The Swede and Bluejay coments I decided to re evaluate my first choice of a 130 gr Accubond. After a careful evaluation I will stick with the 130 gr Accubond as the best weight in the 6.5 (.264 cal) bore.
Lets look at the 243 and 257 cal cartridges. They shoot the heaviest...
264 cal 130 gr Accubond for the 260 Rem as first choice as a Deer and Elk load. This is the most ideal weight for the 6.5 (264) caliber. This will make a very good long range bullet that hits hard and retains weight.
264 cal 120 gr Accubond as a second choice
The 140 Partition fills the Heavy...
