65, outdoorsman. Native Texan and grew up in New Mexico. Dallas is home save for Summer, where I hang my hat in Colorado. Guns have been a hobby since a small boy. Hunted extensively in North America and Africa. Grand Slam Sheep hunter. Like to backpack hunt now, but mostly interested in Elk, Mule Deer and maybe an antelope. Avid Bird Hunter and Fly Fisherman. Was a gear head, and still enjoy cars. Have my original 1972 Mustang Mach 1 from High School. Not that mad at most large game any longer. Hope that makes sense. New to reloading, but more knowledgeable than are most novices (but not most on this site! that is why I am here!) as I have been around guns so many years. Big fans of .30-06, .300 H&H, .280, .280 AI, .308, .223 and a few others. I have .300 WM or two, but don't use them frequently. Want to use a .270 Win some. I keep a .375 H&H or two around for something big, and used that for my Buffalo. Just bought a 7mm Backcountry as I love the basic '06 case and its derivatives. The 7mm Backcountry is educating me as to the ins and outs of high pressure cartridges like it and the .277 Fury. Always been a pre '64 model 70 fan. I love the 700 Remington now as it, too, is old, and I can use them in a MDT HNT26 Chassis. Fan of the new Sig Cross, and I have a couple. Huge vintage High Standard .22 pistol fan. Still hunt with a muzzleloader some also. Enjoy the .22lr, 9mm and .45 ACP in handguns. Hunt some with a stiffly charged .45LC. That's about it.
