Check the numbers on the 240 & 257 and all this data is on the 26 inch tubes and they say you loose 30-60 fps with each inch Ya loose from 26" ! 1/4 bore is really fun !

257 in a Mark V Ultra Light would serve a person well for sure as I have a Vanguard and a Lazermark in 257 and you hold it on hair out to 400 you will have a 800 yd walk to retrieve your critter! I have carried my 257 on a cow elk hunt and still feel that I had enough rifle even with a 100 gr...

The two Barked rifles I own are 26" with a 2" bark on it and I am not sure I would want anything any longer if I was going to carry it very far ! Both being Weatherby offerings I am not hurting for accuracy or velocity and Krieger makes a fine quality product for sure ! My 338-378 is a 26" tube...

Braked rifles can be the only way some people can shoot a rifle due to health issues and to me shooting rifles Ya should have some form of hearing protection on anyway ? I agree they are loud but they do have benefits as far as way less felt recoil which tames muzzle rise and a quicker follow up...
Makes me wanta get one! :mrgreen: but my 338-378 will run 225's at 3180 and is a tack driver ! Not sure what I have more of 12 Ga shotguns or 30 Cal's :grin:
