    Happy New Year!

Hello everyone! I'd like to wish you all a Happy New Year! Hopefully 2021 may bring us a cure to the Corona virus. But most of all I hope that we all have collected a lot of wonderful hunting memories one year from now. In two hours time we turn the page here in Sweden. /Jarre Skickat från...

    2019 Hunting Pictures

Thanks! They have been quite frequent visitors at the feeder station, but at very bad, from my point of view, times. I was watching two mature sows with six piglets at the feeder, when these two spooked the older ones. Never seen that before. Older sows tend to be grumpy towards strange pigs...

    2019 Hunting Pictures

Yesterday evening turned out great! These two turned up at my feeder. I dropped the boar in its tracks and the young sow disappeared faster than the contents in my wallet on a payday. In approx. 2-3 minutes she was back, calm as nothing had just happened. /Jarre

    2016 Hunting Pictures

Thanks! The one on the left had a living weight of 92kg and the other 116kg. Yes I love the Scirocco. It gives the same effect in our Scandinavian moose as the boars in the picture  The wild boar population is growing. Quite fast right now due to a couple of mild winters. I haven't...

    2016 Hunting Pictures

Hi, I was invited by a friend to a driven wild boar hunt in the south west parts of Sweden the weekend before christmas 2016. These two appeared in front of my Husqvarna/Carl Gustaf 1900, 7mm RM. The 150gr Swift Scirocco II did the job :-) /Jarre

Varmint load advice - QL run maybe?

@FOTIS: Thank you very much! @mjcmichigan: I've excluded solids just to avoid a "hide-and-seek game" with a fox or badger stuck in a burrow. When it comes to more suitable calibers I'm stuck with 6.5x55 because of the gun regulations in Sweden. 22LR isn't enough and 7mm RM or 9.3x62 are way...

Varmint load advice - QL run maybe?

Hello, As a new member I would like to thank you all for having me onboard! I' looking at a new varmint load for my 6.5x55 Swedish. Mainly used to take down red fox and badgers. Currently I'm using a Sierra Varminter HP (#1700) 85gr backed up by 44gr Norma 202 in Norma cases. It leaves the...
