Shooting a 350 magnum with 250s at the age of 12 is impressive! I remember the first time I shot a 300 win mag when I was 10. I still wear that scar lol
Beautiful rig chuck. Tell us more about it! I’d like to know how much it weighs and what barrel length.
Good luck on your bison hunt and congrats!
Merry Christmas fellas!
I’m excited to get my 35 whelen built after reading more and more about it, I’m getting less patience. I’m afraid the 358 winchester will sit in the safe more often sadly.
Sorry FNwhelen lol 😂 technically we’re still on track because it’s the 35 whelens little brother! But to get back on track. I am in the process of building my first whelen on a Mauser action and should be finished with it next month. Very excited to start working up loads for the big brother!
Interesting. Perhaps it’s because I’m using a magnum primer? The same exact load using a 225 Nosler partition gets me right at 2600 fps. The bear was a full pass through. Perfect broadside at about 80 yards or so. I did end up using the same load on a small blacktail this fall that was...
That’ll get the job done on a moose! Good to know there’s another option for decent velocity and accuracy with the 225s. That’s a good load. My 225 SGK load in my Hawkeye consists of 51 grains of Ramshot Tac and holds consistent MOA or less and runs 2575. Did a good number on the Black bear I...
Very interesting thank you. I’ll try it in my 358 Winchester first and work up.
250 hornday RN over 53 grains of leverevolution gives me about 2450 out of my 22” Hawkeye with no pressure whatsoever and MOA accuracy at 100 yards. Would be cool to see if CFE223 would be another good option.
I was interested in those until I found a guy on YouTube that was testing them a lot. I think they are a perfect bullet for deer sized game. I just want more penetration for the elk I hunt.
I’d love to try some. Apparently Nosler is supposed to be making a run of them sometime in the near future according to some guys on this forum. I haven’t emailed Nosler personally yet. Figured I’d ask here first.
Does anyone happen to know why the .358 200 grain accubond is not in the product lineup on noslers website? I know they haven’t made the run of bullets yet but I can’t set up a notification if the product doesn’t even show at all.
Thanks for the info Doc. I’ve been hoping to score some at a decent price to try in my 358 win but I’m being patient. They’re ridiculously over priced on GB. Been having good results with the Sierra 225 and have no reason to change other than just wanting to try something different.
