Stick with the 55.5 grain load and tweak it for seating depth, but that one is closer to what you want to see.
I Always prefer to see a triangle of any size over anything else.
Usually the odd fliers are because of a seating depth issue and it wants to shoot but needs tweaking. Or a...
That’s great to see that again JD!
That one is exactly what I remember way back in the late seventies that a close friend of mine dad had, and I couldn’t believe how quickly it pointed on target.
My favorite part was the vent rib and how well the sights were visible.
The dog leg bolt...
That’s great to hear you’re out in the field and having fun hunting again FOTIS!
I’m planning on building a 22ARC/6.5 CM combo bolt gun. Glad you reported the results as I wasn’t even thinking about using a. .22 for big game on smaller sized animals and why I’m doing a switch barrel.
Good...
FOTIS,
I’ve seen a lot of people that really love these projectiles. Was it easy to Tune?
Side note, you can make a pig fly, but would it be somewhat easier than a typical bullet/rifle to make shoot?
On Tuesday I came across a Whitetail fawn flopping around on my driveway as I drove in.
I waited to approach it when it calmed down and wondered what was the cause of its demise? I tilted its head up to see its tongue hanging out to the side, and was having trouble breathing.

Originally I thought whomever did this was probably insulted publicly by Charlie Kirk while at one of his shows.
I could be wrong. If not the case any individual who would take the life of another person just because they didn’t agree with his views or opinions is a loose cannon.
We now...
RIP to one of the greatest bullet makers our generation has ever shared in the fields, mountains and woods across America!
Live long and prosper in your next life Robert!
Thanks Dr. Mike!
It might only be going the same velocity as the 6.5 PRC precision hunting 143 ELD-X (2,960) is getting, but this is a very mild load for this case.
That said I’ve yet to chronograph that ammo in my friends 6.5 PRC. The Hornady 6.5 PRC 147 ELD Match ammo had the bullets seated...
I probably should look at my log book but I know that mine loved RL15 with either the 140 BT, or the 140 GameKing running fairly fast. Or the 160 AB with H414/W760 for the payload factor.
Your rifle turned out beautiful! Cool wood grain on the McMillan stock. Looks awesome and shoots amazing as well!
Should be a great hunting rifle with that combo.
Mike, wait till you see the impact(s) on the steel plates! It was dark when I finally walked out there and they were all at the waterline mark. The 378 yard plate has a center flapper and it was as close to dead center as possible for the shooting position. PRS Skill type stage. The Shooter...
