Long story short my dad has an old Italian carcano and just out of curiosity I started looking up dies and such, did a cursory search online but was curious if anyone here had any first hand experience load data or a solid place to start on building a load for it?
just figured I’d throw a picture up, Danielle, me and the yeti dog loaded up the ol rat rod yj and headed over to JD’s to go for a walk and see if we could get a husky to hone in on any early sheds. (He did not, lol) was a lot of fun and thank you to him for letting us wander around your woods...
I’ve been really lucky in the sense I’m a powersports service tech. If it weren’t for my ability to trade being able to fix people’s toys I would probably be priced out of most any of the rifles, shotguns or even my bow. I guess at least the barter system is still kicking a bit.
Sunday was a day of firsts, first time I carried my own start to finish reloads for the 7mm, and the first time I was able to drag a deer out of the woods…. Also the first time I had to gut one out….. thanks JD338 for the tutorial and not laughing too terribly much. Lol.

That’s actually really interesting, that’s exactly what it was doing. The or four would group nice then I’d get a flyer. I’m still not ready to rule my own twitchy finger out yet though haha. I am super excited for more supplies to become available. I love the wsm so far and can’t wait to get...
Thanks for the feedback! I’ve been looking around for hybrid 100v but it’s been super scarce around me. Same with anything RL. Hopefully that changes in the not too distant future.

Yep, I have been very fortunate to have a great teacher who puts up with a barrage of questions and hypotheticals, as well as a wealth of knowledge on this forum. I’m still getting used to the wsm compared to my trusty 7mm but so far I really like the rifle and the cartridge. As far as the load...
I finally was able to piece together enough stuff to reload a couple for the .300 wsm. To be totally honest a lot of this is super new to me, JD338 has helped me a ton with my 7mm. The wsm’s are the first ones I’ve done start to finish all on my own and to quote another thread on here “they...
She’s a little worse for wear after a long time of neglect, getting it pulled around and in the shop this weekend with any small amount of luck.

You do awesome work, the Chrysler is one you don’t see a whole lot and it’s really cool to know the history on the 60. Yes, amc parts are getting better to find but still definitely not the big three. Luckily I’ve had 4 different parts cars over the years. If you don’t mind maybe at some point...
Those are both just awesome but man I have a soft spot for the 60. I’m glad to see this post, just started resurrecting my 72 javelin and it’s great motivation to see what others have going on.

A little late to post I suppose, but first turkey ever! Thank you JD338 for all of your help, and you were right, your shotgun never lets us down. Lol.

Man, that’s where it’s at right there. Fish or no fish. I’ve been meaning to get out on the water but between insane work hours and the finicky Michigan spring. Ha.
