I guess I was referring to Hornady's 117gr and not Speers 120gr. I am looking for a load in he 2900fps range with either but with the availability of powder in my area and personal powder vault I am limited. Deer season is quickly approaching.

I wondered about that. I only shoot 1911 model .45's and mainly lead rounds as my heart belongs to the .44 mag.

Wow! I have ordered a 7.5 twist .257AI as well and it is due in June as well. What barrel maker did you choose? Mone was Shaw and I can only hope it would arrive early.
