I see that with Superperformance I can get more than 3300 fps out of my 260 Remington. Wanting a flat shooting load for my Grandson but this bullet is pretty light for caliber and would like to know if anyone has tried this one of Whitetails, bigger variety. And what might the minimum velocity...

I used them some from my 358 Winchester. 2500 fps seemed not to badly effect their performance. I got three deer in one day with that load. All exits and deer fell in sight. If they were not so hard to find and nowadays they are expensive also.

I stopped at 57.5 grains and my velocity is very close to the prediction on your table. I am sort of concerned that the Eldx might be a bit destructive at less than 200 yard shots. Will see.

Well I foolishly decided to use IMR 4350 to begin my testing. Got to 2820 fps with the 162 gr. ELDX and started shooting 3 shot groups that were touching. Even at that measely velocity it shoots pretty flat and maintains 2000 fps at 600 yards. More than I will need as I won't shoot past 400...

I have .257 120 grain Partitions, .277 140 gr. Partitions and .308 150 grain Partitions. All factory seconds. Want to load all my 7-08 bras with 140 gr. Partitions which would require at least a hundred.

I have a couple of pounds of Superperformance powder. Like to burn it in my 7MM RM with 160-162 grain bullets. Latest burn rate charts has it right next to R19 so would data slightly reduced for R19 be a good place to start?

Sorry to hear about the lost deer. Puzzling to say the least. I used the 180 gr. Speer in my 357 Max rifle, speed around 1900 fps and had no issues killing either deer or hogs but I generally shoot for CNS. Never caught one for examination.

I used the 200 gr. Corelokt out of a Browning BLR pushed to the same velocity as your test on 6 deer. 3 in one day. One heck of a good combination, never recovered one bullet and all fell in sight. Wish I had kept the early steel framed BLR.

What powder are you using? I am running BLC2 at 24.5 grains. Accurate but I have no idea how fast it's going. One manual says I can go as high as 26.2 grains but in my rifle that seems pretty hot.
