    Vaccine mandate and Nosler

Apparently Hornady has caved to the Biden Regime and ordered all employees to take the vaccine of be fired. What is Nosler’s position on this mandate?

    Accubond Tip?

Thanks guys. I sent Nosler an email about this. They graciously offered to replace them. They said that the lot numbers showed they are over 5 years old. Is there a expiration date on these Tipped Bullets? I just checked my stock and my cases of loaded ammo, some well over 5 years old and...

    Accubond Tip?

I have two boxes of 30 Caliber, 200 gr Accubonds that the white tips are brittle and crumble to the touch. Anyone else have a problem with these tip falling apart, or did I get a bad batch?

    What am I doing wrong

62gr is one grain Below Minimum according to Hodgdon. http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/rifle 62gr should be roughly 2700fps out of a 24 inch barrel. How far off the lands are seating these bullets? did you weigh the bullets?

    What am I doing wrong

There is no direct correlation between case capacity and case weight. If you want to compare head stamps you need to use actual volume in grains of H2O of fired cases.

    Confused

Not sure what you are looking for, but plenty of bullets here, http://www.midwayusa.com/s?targetLocati ... 26Ntpr%3D1 and here. https://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/ ... nt-358-dia

    Pressure

Ok, how about the 280 (60k), 30-06 (60k) , 25-06 (63k) and the 270 (65k)? How do these pressure signs know to show up at different pressures in almost identical cartridges. At what psi would these pressure signs appear in each of the above cartridges?
  8. S

    Pressure

At what pressure in psi do these signs start to appear? The SAAMI Max Average Pressure differs greatly from cartridge to cartridge. For example, the 280 Remington has an MAP of 60K psi while the 280 AI (same brass) has an MAP of 65K. How does the brass/primers know to show signs of over...

    Yet another seating depth question

The listed OAL in manuals can and should be ignored. Find and use the best OAL for your firearm and your choice of bullet. My Nosler manuals don't even list tested OAL, it is that unimportant to the handloader.

    300 WSM

I load for (3) 300 WSMs and none of them shoot well with fast powders like Varget. I get my best performance and accuracy with slower powders like Hunter, MRP and R-19. YMMV
  11. S

how much faster can you push it?

No. A pressure related sticky bolt does not appear until the load is well above SAAMI Max pressures. Some say upwards of 70+ K psi. Primers are not a good indicator of pressures, in fact most flattened primers are caused by excess headspace and not excess pressure.

    Nosler Data 223/5.56

Thanks, all I had to do was read.

    Nosler Data 223/5.56

Someone from Nosler would be appreciated, as this causes a lot of confusion with the 223 vs 5.56, as if we don't have enough confusion, myths and misconceptions already.

    Nosler Data 223/5.56

Kinda. If you click on Nosler online data for the 223 you will have the Heading 223 Rem for bullet weights from 34gr up to and including 64gr. At 69-80gr although still under the 223 Rem data page, Nosler has the heading 5.56 Nato. Is this 5.56 load data tested under the MAP of the 223 of 55K...

    Nosler Data 223/5.56

I agree completely. It is a myth that 5.56 is loaded to 62K using SAAMI testing methods as 62K CIP method will equate to 55K in SAAMI method. That is Why I posted the question above. Nosler list both 223 and 5.56 load data and they are even on the same page. I assume that Nosler is using...
