Has anyone shot the 64gr BSB in a WinM70 Heavy Varmint in 223? Looking to develop a 200-250 yard "minute of fox" load that I can use for red foxes and whitetail deer (antlerless season runs for a bit yet) if the chance presents itself. Looking for ideas for powder, seat depth, etc.... as well...

I got a good start on brass with 450 rounds of ammo (although 150 of that is factory gold dot ammo, which I'll keep in case I want to carry it... it'd probably be a nice carry gun for when I'm working at my hunting lease or when I'm bowhunting).

Hmmm... I do have carbide 40/10mm RCBS dies for my 10's. I have a few Dillon 550's, so it wouldn't be terribly hard to set up a workflow, I wouldn't think, to make relatively quick work of case prep and then loading.

Speaking of triggers, I'm curious how I'll feel about it's DAK trigger when I get to shoot it (maybe later today... it's too dang hot/muggy to get much work done outside). I've seen there are some options to replace that trigger if desired....maybe that'll wind up on the list. Without going...

Don't forget IMR4320, too. I get north of 2600fps for a 250PT in my M70 1:12 Whelen with a 24" barrel. The buck I shot this year with it...I heard that big honkin' bullet slap into him from 260 yards away. BangFWAAAAAAAAAAAP! It puts a goofy grin on your face.

Took a medium sized (90lbs dressed) doe on Jan 23. 105 yard shot with the 62 rifle. She went about 75 yards and crashed. The ball went in mid-ribs and exited through (and breaking) the far leg. I didn't go out tonight, and tomorrow is the last day, with torrential rains forecast. Next...

Ouch, that's a tough way to end the season! I've generally had good luck in flintlock season. There's deer around, and often they're less jittery, too, than they are the last week of rifle season. I'll be headed up into 2G with a buddy to his camp for a few days of drives with the rock locks...
