I’m getting ready to start reloading for my 760 in 270 Winchester… I’ve got some 130gr Winchester PP bullets I can reload and I’ve got some Sierra 140gr HPBT GameKings… I was wondering what load data othered that reload for this rifle have used? Thanks Ken

760s are tuff. One in a 30-06 was what I first started reloading for. Just use the data in reloading manuals and start low working up same as in any other 270. Glad you have one and let us know what loads you come up with.

Yeah, I use the same data as a I would for my bolt gun.

My current 760 load is a leftover from a Tikka 270 I had. RL23, 150 PT for about 2900. I tried it years ago and it shot great with the Skinners on the rifle so I’ve never tried developing a specific load for it.

be careful with your case sizing . if the case is just a little tight you'll have a hard time pumping the action closed . it's a different beast , compared to a bolt gun
Especially if your minimal sizing to fit another rifles chamber.

I've also never had an issue using FL dies in a 7600. In my 358Win I partial FL size for that rifle.

Great rifle 760 in 270 win
Take a good look at IMR 4064 @ 49.5 with 130 grain Nosler Partition or Speer Grand Slam

But those 130gr Power Point will serve you well on deer . I prefer Winchester or Norma brass

I have always used RCBS Small base sizer die with Rem 742 and 760 and the Lee Factory Crimp Die.
