Yep it's a never ending process. The newest one is a switch barrel so I can shoot it in matches and hunt with it. Using a Storm lake barrel that I had Mag-Na-Port do their magic on it is shooting 1" to 1.5" at 25 yards depending on the load. I switch barrels for ACP and it shoots about that good with them. The ported barrel delays unlocking and the works with the 22 lbs. spring. The slide is an AA which is a couple of ounces heavier than the stock slide. This one will hunt a lot this year.
With the longer barrel 230 grains run well in the 1300s and 255s are nearly 1200.

After shooting this on quite a bit I think I am in love. Now that the gun is broke in t he 150 CEB load will shoot under an inch at 25 yards from sandbags. The only load that this one doesn't like is the 255 grain. I put a stock Glock barrel in it and shot a couple of GSSF matches with it. It is finally settling in. I can't wait to hit the wood with it.

Good Bear Defense sidearm for Alaska kinda replaced my G20 in 10mm.
Currently Working on 230gr Dead Nuts FMJ FN bullet load to duplicate BB factory load in 45 Super @ 1100 FPS……which should be easy in 4.6” KKM. This bullet should perform very close to the 250gr Rim Rock Hardcast bullet in penetration.

Longshot excellent powder for 45 Super especially in 4.6” barrel with CCI 300 or WLP primers.

AA9 powder with CCI 350 in 5.2” KKM really go good together. AA9 really needs that extra barrel length to excel.

Hahaha, nice looking pistol, please excuse me for laughing but my target loads run around 700-750fps and if you stand behind me while I shoot you can actually see the bullet hit the target at 50yds, almost like watching a 50cal MG round going down range.
I'm not knocking your 45 Super since it has its place and I would probably choose it over a 44 mag if I need a defense carry gun for dangerous game, probably a 1911 long slide and 6" barrel.

Didn't mean to kill your post. I was laughing at the difference in velocity between my loads and yours.
For a light practice load give 3.8-4.0 grs of tight group under a 185gr hard cast lead SWC. That load will run a slide mounted 5oz red dot on the slide with a 13lb flat wire spring and full guide rod in my all steel 1911 so it should cycle your Glock. Cheap reload and easy on your hand / elbow and shoulder.

Have Ruger Redhawk 44 mag 4.2” carried it for years in bear country great pistol ! Switched to the G20 about 20 years ago and for the last 3 years carrying the G21 setup for 45 Super. Yes I find the magazine capacity very comfortable in Bear country over the 6 round wheel gun.
