Off chasing fallow

Heading down to the range this afternoon for a quick fowling of the barrels and make sure everything is running as it should before the weekend. The fallow better be careful, my sons 270 and the old 30-06 look prime. Seems kinda cool that I shoot the 06 and he shoots its offspring. No excuses now

(3 shot cluster was the 30-06 and 4 shots the 270 the furthest shot on the right for the 270 was the first)

On my last trip to Africa I passed on several Fallow bucks. Several pretty good ones. I still have nightmares about one of them. Next trip I’ll shoot a good one if presented the opportunity.
