Looking for field reports on big game using the Nosler E-Tip bullet.

Had 3 boxes of the 150 grain ammo come to me as part of a gun deal on a 28 Nosler. Shot 1 box to get used to the rifle.

Then parts of the 2nd box was used to zero at 300 yards & taken on an Eastern Montana antelope hunt. Was successful with a nice 14" buck being taken @ 304 yards.

Considering using the remaining 30 rounds on the general opener with mule deer and elk available here.

Appreciate any result accounts, good or bad.

I have only taken one whitetail doe with an E-tip. It worked perfectly. 130 grain E-tip from a 270 WSM.

My son has taken 3 antelope all were roughly 300 yards away and each was one shot. He also shot a nice mule deer buck at roughly 250 yards. Also one shot. He also has taken his first elk which was one shot at 350 yards. Good placement, excellent penetration, and really good expansion. No bullets recovered. He used a Ruger MKII in 6mm Remington using 90 gr. Nosler E-tips. I'm really impressed with the E-tips. Might should be starting to load some for me!

It’s my favorite bullet hands down! Elk, red deer, reh deer, oryx, wildebeest, impala, kudu, sable, my 270 Win with the 130 E-tip puts them all in the salt quickly. Penetration and weight retention are incredible, never had one fail to expand, they foul slower than Barnes, and have a good BC to boot! To say I’m a fan is an understatement.

The vortexnation guys test the 5 most common copper bullets into ballistic gel on YouTube. They do a fast and a slow velocity with each bullet from the same .308 rifle. The e tip did very well, might be an interesting video for you to watch if you are so inclined
