Hahahahah, old boy scout stuff for me.
Vaseline cotton ball, cotton ball/wax, rolled cardboard tied/wrapped with cotton string dipped in wax, dryer lint, etc.
Mini lighter, matches dipped, ferrocerium rod (the "flint and steel")
Sometimes, I carry my mountain man kit, just like they did in...
I carry my first cartridge in the chamber or first thing the mag with a close range bullet for the surprise jump up shot or quick shot within 150 to 200 yards.
If I am going to be shooting a longer range shot than that I am going to need time to set up and have built the muscle memory to eject...
Shot this in a .257 working up a load with the Magnetospeed speed. Was neat watching the higher powder charges climb.
I like the blue tips, they look cool too.
The top two look like that is a good spot. One had a little ejector mark...

She was hunting a buck. She has seen horses and cows, and told not to shoot them I suppose. This thing had antlers, much different than a horse or cow.
Yes, she misidentified an unexpected elk, but it was not a horse or cow. In AZ, where you can find elk, you bet they are in trouble. I get it...
I'll take em! Thanks. PM sent.
Spent almost a week hunting cow elk with two boys and their dad. Got one with a .243. I helped with everything starting at buying licenses and putting in for the draw.

The last two comments are why I went with 7mm for hunting... I run a 7 rem mag for more velocity, but that only matters after 4 hundred yards give or take.

I think that 708 is a great choice for smaller who might be more recoil sensitive. That is something that the 7mm has, and that with reduced recoil, you can get a high BC bullet, which is better at long ranges. Additionally, at the lower weights, the sectional density of the 7mm bullet in...
Have you found any research? I am genuinely curious. Again, using the best modeling, Litz said it isn't the pitch and yaw of the nose, or epicyclic swerve, as the nose of the bullet settled into a right spin.
And, if it happens at 600 and 1000, the bullet has already "gone to sleep" by 600, I...
I am admittedly ignorant, and am asking, cause I don't know. I think I remember reading that Bryan Litz will pay to see a rifle that shrinks group size at further ranges. I understand it to be ballistically impossible, per his.theories. like, Shoot a bullet through one target at 100 and pass...
Tilting Caldwell and Harris bipods. I added Caldwell locking levers to both.
Block of wood (Weyerhaeuser) with sock (Hanes), filled with kittylitter (generic unscented).[emoji2]
I am making my most expensive bag by sewing leather and filling with cheap beads.
And, actually, the most...
Nothing like the first squirrel...
Don't have a picture of mine, but took Tony out for his.
We got a couple of these little ones, then only shot Kaibabs with more meat, lol.

I won't be available, a week in September, the first week of October, the first week of December. Or, scattered days between. It's top-secret what I will be doing.
And, Vince I think I am going to have to come up there in August to work on the singing canine problem you have. :)

Arizona is terrible. Lies, all lies! The buffalo stay in the Grand Canyon park. The elk went to New Mexico. We has no mule deer. And, the whitetail we have are so tiny. The antelope, well, all eaten by coyotes. Coyotes got so hungry, they started chasing road runners. You know how that ends from...
