I have 9 boxes of .270 160gr partitions for sale. $65 per box plus actual shipping or free local pickup in Atlanta. Shot my moose with these this year and they have proven to be the most accurate bullets I’ve ever shot out of my 1:10 twist .270win
Incredible bullets and outstanding terminal...
The partition worked absolutely perfectly this week in Newfoundland. I harvested a beautiful cow moose and the Partition did exactly what it was supposed to. Thank you all for your advice and anecdotes!

Thanks, Dr. Mike - yes, chrono had a very tight spread and accuracy was still excellent across all rounds. It now makes me feel like a ninja - I fire and disappear.
It persisted through 15 rounds.
The rifle began almost soaking wet, so that may have something to do with it (condensation from being taken out of an A/C vehicle into bathtub-like Georgia)
I went to the range today to put a few rounds down range. Oddly, my .270 turned into a black powder rifle!
The stats:
50.5gr IMR 4350
160gr Partition
~2,700fps
Large Rifle primers
Temp was 88 degrees with high humidity.
Round is very very accurate out of my rifle, and is consistent

I finally have 14 boxes of 160 grain partitions for my .270 for my upcoming moose hunt. I think I may finally have enough. 670 rounds should be good for one moose, right (saving 30 for practice, of course)?
On a COMPLETELY unrelated note, do you guys have any suggestions to help a guy stop...
Thanks everybody! I bought a chrono and just checked the muzzle velocity yesterday. It’s pretty consistently measuring at 2685fps. Very close to your chart data, Dr Mike!
Thank you all, and thanks especially for the suggested practice technique! I am looking forward to the hunt and want to do everything I can to ensure a successful hunt.

Hi folks! I just found the 160gr partition, and my rifle absolutely loves them (less than 1/2” at 100 yards with 50.5gr IMR4350).. I have an Eastern Moose hunt planned for next year in Newfoundland, and I’d love to hear some experiences with these 160gr on moose (happy to hear 150gr stories too...
Thanks! I’m lucky to have a very consistent/accurate rifle and to have found a round it loves to shoot. My job is to keep the “human” out of it as much as possible!
I’ve been reloading for a number of years, but have just found the 160gr partition for my .270. I’m moose hunting in Newfoundland next year and can’t wait to try this load out! Ive found a load that is 0.48” at 100 yards in a 4-shot group:
50.5gr IMR4350
Winchester brass
Federal large rifle...
