Confused -Big Surprise From Nosler Published Data

POP...hmmmm, now that is very interesting. I will be completley honest and admit that i have at times, based on my rifles and my ability to read/measure pressure ( expansion ring compared to factory, primers etc) load to what I believe is safe in my rifles. I may just have to make some...

Confused -Big Surprise From Nosler Published Data

Thanks for the replies. My concern is both accuracy and speed. I try to obtain 1/2 moa from my loads and as much velocity as is safely possible,i.e not going over book max. I guess I was just surprised that i was almost 300fps slower with the same max charge of 44.5 N-560. I expect the book...

Confused -Big Surprise From Nosler Published Data

Went to the range today (no wind, sunny, 68 degrees f) with my .243 ( Savage 12 BVSS). Loaded up some Win Brass, Fed 210M, Nosler 95gr BT, VH-N-560 (from 42.0 to 44.5 book max) COL 2.700". Max velocity was 2892 over my chrono. What gives???; the 42.0 load went 2743 fps. Very disappointed...

    280 ackley vs. 7mm remington

I to shoot a 280 and I'm strongly considering rebarreling to the 280AI. My question is this. Notwithstanding the larger case capacity of the 280AI, is the 280AI loaded to them same pressure levels or higher than the 280?? or put another way, if we were to load the 280 to higher pressure...

I use RAMSHOT MAGNUM in my 270 WSM with the Sierra 140 gr HPBT. Using RAMSHOT's published load data , I have found that 73.8gr and a CCI 250 primer in WIN cases, will 6/10 times print three holes touching (best is .310"). This is from my Tikka T3 Lite. I tried MAGNUM with 160 AB in my 280...

    Help Required - N560 load data/280Remington

Thanks to all and especially POP- That helps a lot. Curently I'm using RL 19 (53.2 gr) and Fed 210M with the 160 AB. Groups are consistently .5 MOA...but, as always, I continue to try and find something a little different and better (perhaps .4 or .35). Marshal

    Help Required - N560 load data/280Remington

Hi, New to the forum and just having received my new #6 reloading manual, I was a little disappointed to see next to no load data for N560 for the 280 Remington. Can any of the QL types provide some data for the 140AB and the 160 AB. (Case: WIN, Primer: Fed 210M or WLR) thanks very much. Marshal
