Is the Nosler Solid Base just an older version of the Ballistic Tip

The most accurate load for my Ruger MK11 .338 is 73 grains IMR 4831 under a 225 Nosler Partition lit up with a Federal Mag primer. The chronograph reads out at 2812 which is fine by me for velocity. :grin:

I would try a heavier bullet for the 300 wsm than the 165 grain. I would start at 180 grain with a load of IMR 4831. I agree with Ol Joe about the bedding on your rifle, try his idea and if it doesn't work you can float the barrel. :grin:

I need reloading data for the 7x57 Mauser with 140 grain Nosler Partition bullets. I have IMR 4895 powder. I also require the loaded cartridge overall length in millimeters. 8) My rifle is a Brno ZKK-600 so action strength is not a concern. Thanks , 8) John :grin:
