    I have a German made Mark V, 24" barrel, hat full of IMR 4350, CCI mag. primer, 130 gr. BT. The velocity is 3250 fps., 15 ft. from the muzzle, accuracy can be 1 hole for 3 shots, also have had 2" groups and larger. transonic

    Ballistic tips on varmits a.k.a.(groundhogs)

    I use the Nosler BT, 100 gr. on groundhogs out of a 257 Weatherby mag.. I do get some expansion over 500 yds., none out pass 600 yds.. they do seem to leave some evidence of a hit at the greater ranges. The 50 gr. BT out of a 220 Swift gets dicy past 500 yds.. refraction

    Best Barrels?

    New member wants to say hi to everybody, I put a Douglas barrel on a Swift this past winter. I'm pleased with the results, tried Nosler BT's, 50 gr., made my heart flutter, group wise. transonic :grin:
