    Burris bad! Redfield Good??

I have owned all the scopes you mentioned. the only scope problem I have ever had was with a leupold. I sent it in asking them to fix it..within 5 days they sent me a NEW scope rather than fix the old one. I think all you mention are good scopes, but you can't beat Leupold for service and the...

    Noslet Mdl 48 information please

GREAT information, thanks. I will never likely hunt under the conditions you experience everyday, so a pretty darn good testimonial for Nosler. now all I have to do is pick the right caliber to have some fun with ! Nosler is pretty well known for service, just like that other Oregon company...

    Noslet Mdl 48 information please

    Best .30-06 elk bullet

two bulls, one cow elk with 30-06. two sierra flat based 180 spitzers..one with 180 grain hornady. 7 bull elk with 270 and 150 gr partitions. Can't tell a dang bit of difference between any of them. all shots were behind the shoulder so perhaps the super premiums would be better if you...

most accurate rifle you have ever owned or fired.

Most accurate I have ever owned, after spending tens of thousands on custom rifles?...a factory savage 308 with accutrigger. I glass bedded it and get consistent less than 1/2 " groups with sierra bullets. Most accurate ever fired? a friends 6x47...essentially the same hole, but not any better...

    ER Shaw barrels

I put one on a remington action in 7mm mag. It only shot about 2" with selected loads, so I put a box of Tubbs bullets down the barrel to smooth things out, then I finished it off with some bore coat. Now the rifle shoots sub MOA groups consistently with 154 gr Hornady . I think its a good...

Why i'll never buy a savage rifle

I used to flat hate these rifles until I got one in a trade and it shot better than the rifles I had spent $5000 for. I have two of them now, both shoot well inside an inch, but yea..they are still ugly. One of them I had cerakoted just for the reasons mentioned above...no indian looking at...
