    SS media separator / dryer

Tack, Another tip. When the cleaning solution you have runs out, use this, it'll work as good, probably better. Dawn blue liquid Dish Soap ... it comes either non concentrated or concentrated https://www.walmart.com/ip/Dawn-Origina ... 3=&veh=sem Dawn also sells the same blue stuff but it...

    SS media separator / dryer

After considering that you own a FART some more, and watching a video, and texting one of my buddies with a FART. Here is what I would do if I owned your FART. DISCLAIMER: Don't do any of this in kitchen sink or food prep area = common sense. Shut off Tumbler. Place Full FART with lids...

    nosler 77 gr in a 7 twist

Test at 100 to help take wind/you out of equation during initial load development. How bad are they on paper? Have you chrono'ed them? Chrono will help identify/eliminate potential causes and help with hair pulling. If you plan on getting serious at distance, you are likely going to...

    SS media separator / dryer

Water is the key to separate pins imo. I use a rotary case media separator, and spin them in water, changing directions a few times. I do this as part of the cold rinse after sludge is discarded. The style you choose will be up to you, and dependent upon size of runs ..... meaning, the...

    Weighing Brass - 300WSM

If I weigh brass this is my process. First, I do not weigh brass if they aren't all sized to exactly the same headspace and trimmed to exactly the same length using a trimmer that indexes off the shoulder....which for me means, they are dedicated to one rifle and have been shot in it at least...

    SS media tumblers

It is worth it to me. When I went wet, there weren't may options to do volume. So I made my own crafted off of biggdawg tumblers.... it was legit, because in addition to selling them, biggdawg freely offered his plans. http://www.biggdawgtumblers.net/ plans (31 pages over time, refined)...

    BenchSource question

A tip that works for me when setting up my benchsource dwell time. I put the tempilaq inside the (clean) neck all the way around. I set the dwell time to that changing. It's easier for me to see the color change as it happens looking inside the neck with good lighting looking from above...

    BenchSource question

Yes, but .... be sure to realize that a hot case will get to temp sooner than a room temp case. Meaning, if you have your machine dwell time set based off the time it takes to properly anneal a room temp case, and then slap a hot one in it using the same dwell time...the hot one will likely be...

    .223 mixed head stamps

Whoops, stop. I am not recommending neck sizing only for the semi auto AR. I am recommending full length sizing for the semi auto AR (so the body gets resized if needed), but only bumping shoulders .003 to .004 (not oversizing)...and tailoring that measurement to the rifle the brass is...

time to buy an annealer, which one?

I only have experience with two torch heads/benchsource. IMO, one would likely be sufficient with small rifle brass (I don't run the two torches full bore when doing small rifle)...but I do appreciate being able to "aim" two flames on larger rifle brass. I am bias'ed though, and one would...

    .223 mixed head stamps

Thanks hunter ... the additional color helps. That's a good trigger. As I now know you are chasing 10th's, yessir, sort em. Additional stuff for max accuracy/consistant brass in your AR. Dedicate your brass to one rifle, shoot them only in that AR (same number of reloads together, same...

    .223 mixed head stamps

Brass consistency goes to accuracy. What "a big accuracy difference" is to one guy, might be wasting time "for nothing" to another. So much of this has to do with all the other things you are doing. I don't type this to be flippant .... honestly trying to be helpful ... regardless of how I...

time to buy an annealer, which one?

viewtopic.php?t=29680&p=311863 I have a lot of opinions on annealing... this link and my other two linked discussions within this link I own a Benchsource and love it...and have no problem recommending. Back when I bought it, Giraud wasn't making one. If I was wanting one today .... I...

    Brass Prep Machine

For Trim, debur, chamfer one step.... I use the Giraud Tri Way in an electric drill or drill press http://www.giraudtool.com/Tri%20Way%20Trimmer.htm If needed, for crimped primer pockets (only have to do once, careful not to over swage).. I use Dillon Super Swage 600...
