Thanks much for the information fellas! I reckon I'll fall back on my 25-06 for these pesky cougars. I have 'til the first of the year to work on it anyhow. Best of luck drawing your deer tag next year sniper!!! (they're sure making it tough, and expensive, on a feller to try to be legal...
Hello sir, Thank you for the reply! I BELIEVE (from the 'brush on rod test") the twist is 1 in 16 inches? I tried some of these 77 grainers with a start load of 32 grains of H-380 (total length of 2.572") and my bullets are difinately hopping or tumbeling at 50 yards, so I gave up on them for...
I'm pretty near computer illerate, ...not much sence at all, but can I PLEASE get some info on H-380 for the g*ddam nosler 77 grain bulllet for the .22-250????? Is this too much to ask? If so, I'll go back to Lewiston and see what Speer has to say? Nice "talk" website, bnut no info...
Chris J is right on about finding your bullet depth, but if you've popped your primer and sized your brass with an RCBS ( I presume?) then your neck will be too small to let your bullet slide? Best thing to do is get a set of Lee carbide dies, you will have to to do it this way... slowly screw...

Howdy sir, using the ballistic tips for hunting?...or for targets? Hopefully for targets. I killed 2 elk this year with ballistic tips and lost a lot of meat. Didn't lose an animal, but....there must be a less devestating bullet for the 300 mag. Lost a monster bull a few years ago with 250...

here here for load data for the H-380 for the 77 grain bullets! H-380 is a great powder for the .22 calibers, not only pours great, but super accurate in my .22-250. THANKS!!!

Also remember....when you change bullets....the seating depth will change too. The ogive of every bullet is different. The books will give you only a ballpark length, not an accuracy length for your particular bullet. practice makes almost perfect!

best accuracy will depend on you particular rifle, but the best way to determine your particular bullet seating depth...slide a bullet into the chamber, set it gently with your finger or a rod, insert your cleaning rod down the muzzel gently so as NOT to move the bullet, as it's seated on the...
