Thanks EFW, since we're on sizing , I want to run this by you or anyone else that would like to comment.
Let's say I prep some new brass, find an accurate load for my 3006 and I'm below max pressure ( hopefully ) .
When I go to resize again using a FL die, if the cases are still with in spec...
Thanks efw, about the fired formed brass , I know that is for bolt action and for the rifle they are formed too.
I understand that it's not a good idea for a hunting situation in case of a stuck case.
I have a headspace Guage and I have measured unfired brass and once fired brass and the only...
Thanks Mr . Minks2 and Dr. Mike !
I do read the manuals that I have.
EE2 said I would have to read in between the lines on some of the info , but I would rather not assume anything.
So is this dry lube used on the inside of the case mouth and outside of the case body for FL sizing ?
Does...
Watching a video from the outdoor channel on reloading , this guy does not explain cleaning the carbon from inside the case.
Is this necessary?
He lubes inside the case mouth and resizes it but does not clean out the lube to charge the case and seat the bullet.
Yeah , I'm thinking over worked brass like you say, of course I wouldn't know anything about that just yet.
From what I've seen on the tube and the Web , he was using too much lube !
Those old school desks would be the bee's knees !
Thanks for the info Wisconsinteacher !
Thanks Dr.Mike , my space is limited so I'll probably be going to more of a labor method in cleaning out the carbon .
Like EE2 said , I'll be more concerned with the integrity of the brass opposed to shiny .
If you guys have any suggestions lm all eyes since seeing is how I be learnin'
The people here is the reason I'm still here. Very good forum !
The alcohol trick cleaned up the case mouth and surprisingly there was no residue on the q-tip.
I haven't set my die up yet , still thinking about and looking for something for my partner press.
Thanks , I'll do the alcohol and try the FL die for decapping setting.
I'm new to reloading and haven't reloaded a thing yet.
I want to use my 3006 RP cases for practice to have my FL die set up for proper shoulder bump.
Thanks !
Reading Nosler and Speer manuals about case prep.
Is there just a decapping die , cause these manuals say to decap before you clean.
It is said not to run dirty cases in your dies.
I want to practice with my RP cases with my FL die.
Is it a bad idea to use a solvent like brake and parts...
Akhunter, swift # 2 only shows h 4831
Hydrid 100v , Superformance, rl 17 ,rl 19 , Imr 4831 and Imr 7828 for 150 gr. scirocco , 140 gr. a frame , 160 gr. a frame and 175 gr. a frame.
My space is limited so now I need to figure out where and what to mount my press to.
I have a garage but I don't want it in there, it's not climate controlled.
I'm thinking the master bedroom as the place but on what ?
