Gil I am sorry for not checking in, but I am just getting back on line as I have been having computer problems for the last month hopefully they have been corrected. I have had 2 lever actions during my hunting time my very first rifle was a Marlin 336C in the 30-30 and I sold it when I...
Sorry for coming in late Scotty. Thank you for a great hunt & the photos put me right there with you (y).
Man it would have been a hoot to have been there!!
Blessings,
Dan
All I got left this season is Whitetail . I will be shooting my 280AI for them (y)!! I will be loading up a bunch of them this coming week (y).

Palouser, I really believe that every calibre has a that sweet projectile and in my 50 years of shooting & loading for the 270win I believe it to be 130gr. I personal shoot the Accubond but for a few before that like about 35 of them I shot the Partition.
I would try IMR-4831sc and load it down...
The young guy that I have been tutoring on reloading pulled up the other day in a decked out 2018 GMC with the 6.2 he advised that it doesn't have the torque of his 2005 dura max but he advised he has notice quite a difference in the ride.
We will see how it will hold out , the only thing...
Unfortunately the Anti's are gaining ground by deception & 1/2 truths .
I have a number of friends that are against trophy hunting in Africa but they do not know the circumstances or the benefits to it.
It is just like our Prime Minister right now with this carbon tax giving 90% back...
Palouser, we do not have many rolling hill here but where we hunt upland is south almost on the US boarder about 90 miles north and a little east of Plentywood Montana.
It is about 90 mile straight south of Regina we are in the heartland of the Prairies (y).
It has been said many times by people...
Hmm a man after my own heart a long-range 270win !!
Here in Saskatchewan for many years it was a 2 calibre hunting area :) the 06 and the 338win, now in the last 10 years with all the shows and information available it has really widened.
But for example when I got my 35 Whelen built and...
Hmmm DrMike & Blkram talking about someone other than them enabling now that is something to think about.
First DrMike talking to me on multiple occasions about the pros for the 35 Whelen & now I own one  and then Gil letting my use his Swarovski binoculars and now when I look through my...
Well last night I finished loading up 85-225gr. Accubonds over top of Reloader-15. At the rate I am shooting now I believe I may never have to load for it again and my oldest Son will have a bullet supply and the rifle long after I am gone .
Had one slight problem as I had 5 bullets...
Nature a lot of the time is not as pretty as people want it to be.
My first bear hunt, I shot a cinnamon sow that did not come in with her cub and of course as I started towards the sow the cub came in trying to get her to leave. I have not hunted bear since, I had a second tag and anchored the...
Here is from our last time out .
This my 6 month old Flat-coat .
Kona is a little fire cracker, she loves to be in the field (y)
Blessings,

Here is her 1st Rooster & he was a runner . If you could have seen the look on her face when she went to pick him up and he took off running .
Blessings,
Dan
Guy, one of the biggest mistakes I ever made was about 13 years ago :(.
My house was broken into & my Browning Citori was stolen  and it was Belgium made, I was advised that it would take 2 to 3 years to order one in. Anyways I got this crazy idea and asked if I could order a left...
Very cool , the 250-3000 is a great little deer and antelope round. My hunting partner has one in the 340C and I have a 30-30 in the 340C as well.
I have a side scope mount for mine but I have never installed because I still like to shoot my little savage with open sights.
Enjoy your great...
