Picked up kind of a rare one.

Agreed. I have a little 77 250 Savage I need to get out to let see and smell some sky.

    Winchester M70 JOC

Picked this one up a bit ago. Pretty handy rifle. Supposedly based off the JOC #2 rifle. Looking forward to getting it dialed in a bit.

Henry 243 long ranger load data needed

Somewhere around 42 grains if either H or IMR 4350 has shot well with 95’s and 100’s in a few 243’s. If your Starline chambers you’re likely getting a bulge somewhere. Easy peasy though to sort that out. Good luck, take your time. No matter what anyone says, calipers and a black sharpie will...

300 Win Mag / 200 Accubond test (after neck turning)

Absolutely. The reason for sharp shoulders is to arrest brass flow to some extent. But yes, brass flows forward. Hence why donuts occur.

    Superperformance in 7MM RM

I wouldn’t be scared of bracketing it and starting low.

    Excessive headspace on virgin brass

Never had a wisp of trouble with a belted case. Just doesn’t even matter to me in the grand scheme.

.300 WSM 150 grain Corelokt Tipped

Makes you wonder if they’re making them or they are a Sierra or Hornady made for Remington?

    6.5-06

That’s a killer load. I’d bet the difference between the 34 and 250 is just the lot. Essentially the same primer but the 34 is a bit thicker for AR’s and mil use.

    Excessive headspace on virgin brass

There is no point…. In a sharp shouldered case the belt is there because we used the H&H to make everything back when all these cartridges were developed.

    Swift A Frame 225gr

Swift makes some great bullets. I love their Scirocco and also the A-Frame. It’s one of the bullets I like to try in any serious rifle where they make something that fits.

    Tough, Rugged Bastards

Don, the SOF Care Coalition is an amazing organization. One good friend was burned over 95% of his body in Afghanistan. Serious wounds and as you can imagine it made his and his families life hell. Well, SOF CC had a home built in Texas, near the hospital for his family and it was specially...

You’ll like it Mike. Ranger was a mentor to me and absolutely one of the toughest, smartest fellas I was lucky to learn from. Never knew he could read and write:ROFLMAO:

    Tough, Rugged Bastards

Just wanted to throw out a plug for one of my buddies who wrote a pretty cool book about about how the Marine Corps entered USSOCOM. Anyhow, it’s on Amazon and if you’re an American, you should likely read it 😁 Name of of the book is Tough, Rugged Bastards written by John A Dailey.
