When Black Bears Are Not Actively Hunted

A similar thing happen about 10 years ago here in our rural canyon of CA where we live, luckily no one was hurt. Our closest neighbor, a liberal of course, about 1/4 mile away was feeding a black bear catfood, when they stopped the bear ripped the door of their shed and ate all the catfood. I...

Quickload request for 257 Weatherby Mag

Be careful, the design of the Absolute Hammer creates less pressure, you may hit pressure sooner with a Hammer Hunter. Start low and work up. I'm using RL26 with 90g Absolute Hammers in my 25-06, it's amazing.

    Alliant Powders...Eye Watering

True! There is still some reasonable priced powder around if we search. I have had a pretty good supply of powder and primers for years, but it doesn't hurt to add more. My shooting has not decreased at all in the last few years.

Ruger American Rifle .308 22” barrel 1 in 10 in twist.

I would agree, but with mine it's better at closer distance, like 100 yards! Might have something to do with my aging eyes🤣.

Ruger American Rifle .308 22” barrel 1 in 10 in twist.

Don't have a 308, but my adult son has a 6.5 cm Ruger American and I have a 243 Ruger American for a truck gun, both are very accurate for inexpensive rifles. I've never shot factory loads through mine, but my son's shot slow with factory ammo, so I worked up a load for him with 120g BT'S. Good...
