New article and video up with the 30 caliber 200 gr Nosler Partition playing a key role:

It was a pleasure meeting you, we were pumped when we saw the bear you got up there. So nice you could see Dr Mike too on the way south again. You drove through some nice country both ways. We are moving to the North Okanagan this spring so won't be too far from where you live. Leaving on...

New article and video up with the 30 caliber 200 gr Nosler Partition playing a key role:

Read the article and watched the video @Guy Miner well done. I'm glad you were able to get such a beautiful bear on your hunt. It was nice to meet you face to face on that trip too. I'll share some thoughts on bear guns and bullets when I get the chance. Frying up bacon wrapped salmon and...

    OUT OF STOCK Box calls

Thought there was a cool story behind this shotgun. Makes the hunt that much sweeter with that history. That shotgun has a lot more hunting trips in it any many more birds to bring in.

    .257 100 Gr. BT's actually found!

Yep, seems like Ballistic Tips are expensive up here now. I've been collecting the 170 gr 277 and they are $50-60 CAD usually. I got some on sale for about $45 not too long ago. @cloverleaf prices are higher on lots of things now but glad you found some of those 100 gr blue tips now that they...

    OUT OF STOCK Box calls

Any details on that 16 gauge? Nice to see older guns being used. I bet your uncle would be happy to see it is still working well.

    Sad Day

We sure get attached to them and they are big parts of our life. It's sad when we have to say good bye but thankful for the time we had with them.

He hit that plate every time in the rain with some wind, very impressive. All the practice paid off well with the antelope.

A like new pre 64 M 70 264 WM is one of the great classic guns. I like Remington a lot but you came out on top with this one. Getting back to the 6.8 Western there are some nice options in the M 70 for it.

Tell me you're a gun nut without telling me you're a gun but 😜 I'm sure someone will gladly take those R-P cases from you. Norma makes nice brass though.

    6.8 Western

Before the 260 officially came out Redding came out with their 270 Redding Wildcat. It has a 30 degree shoulder and to me was the best of the Wildcats on the 308 case. I thought about it but when the 260 came out I went with it and love it too. 270-308 would be easier and be a great performer...

Yes I always thought it's a good one that deserves a lot better than it got. Such a well balanced round!

    6.8 Western

Haha I think we all are, some of us just more than others. With both 6.5 and 277 cal cartridges I'm not likely to get a 7 mm although I reserve the right to do so if the right one comes along 😉

I remember starting this thread and being disappointed at some of the response. Someone with a bad attitude sure can make it go sideways. Now that I have had my gun for a while I'm happy with it and what the round is capable of. Many people that own one say that they are getting the...

    Happy 4.16

A 375 Ruger, hot loaded 450 Marlin and 45/70 is as heavy as I've gone. Would love to shoot a 416 someday.

    Loading Some Rims

Never knew there was a 43 Spanish or 43 Dutch, had heard of a 43 Egyptian though. This ammo looks different but is listed as 43 Spanish. https://www.buffaloarms.com/43-spanish-11-15x58r-ammunit-amobp43span.html
