    Rotate your hunting rifles

I might add that I get a lot more brave with tags that are general season or antlerless, or with seasons that last a long time.

    Rotate your hunting rifles

Like many of you, I am blessed with more than I need in the firearms department. When considering what to use, I typically refer to my records of what I have used for which so far. Then I look at my guns and ammunition on hand or available. For example, if I’m going elk hunting and I haven’t...

35 cal 225 gr Accubond (x2) from moose

I’m pretty late to the party where the .35 Whelen is concerned but 2025 is going to see at least one hunt with it. Does Nosler have any plans of making more of these 225 grain AccuBond or Partition bullets? They’re a bit of a unicorn right now.

Ah geez. Be careful what you say fellas, wouldn’t want the Bobbies to show up to drag us back to London for a necktie party over just words that we have typed. When did we wake up in an episode of the Twilight Zone? Anyone know?

    Wally! ;)

That’s the way it goes with photography. You will shoot 100 shots and maybe 5-10 of them turn out awesome. I learned that in highschool shooting for the yearbook. It makes one pay greater attention to detail. Of course digital makes it much easier than the old 35mm B/W film!

    Elk Season Approaches!

I too hope to hang a nice bull on the wall. In fact of all the elk I have shot, only three of them were bulls, and none of them had impressive antlers at all. Cows eat better on average, but a spike or raghorn are also quite edible. Elk hunting, unless I decide to try for another Aoudad or a...
