    6.5 CM dies

I have Redding, RCBS, Lyman, Pacific, Forster, Wilson, Lee, Dillon, and Hornady. I have exhaustively measured headspace consistency and concentricity. I’ve found that the press is more critical in terms of quality production than the die. If the ram on the old Rockchucker is slopping around...

    Clothing For Alaska

Kids in Barrow usually wear shorts and hoodies. Guess it depends on what is cold/not cold to you.

So - he wants to go again,..

He is, to repeat what some big time conservative donor said a few days ago, “pointlessly divisive”. The Democrats are loving Donald Trump right now, he will hand them everything back in ‘24. I say a Nikki Haley/Tulsi Gabbard ticket is the way!

    Franchi Momentum

I had the opportunity to fire one of these in 6.5 PRC today that a young man I know just purchased. My first three shots were slightly sub-MOA. I had the chrono setup working on a 6X45 load anyway so we sent a few over it out of the PRC. Factory Hornady Match 147gr ELDM averages right at 2900...

    WTB Nosler Partition 6mm 85gr

Long shot, hoping there’s a box on a shelf collecting dust that someone would part with.

45 Colt, our Latest Video & Article

Great write up and video. I have a R92 Rossi rifle in .45 Colt to complement my Blackhawk Bisley. 2 of the last to go for sure.

    Just sick to my stomach...

It happens. Take consolation in knowing that nothing in nature goes to waste.

    7mm08 elk

I’ve seen the results of the 139gr Hornady SST out of a 7-08 on elk at 320 yards. I would not hesitate to use the combination.

There are some 250gr loads published at Speer that will flat cross your eyes when you pull the trigger.

    Hammer Bullets Design Question

I have found the shock hammer line to be accurate and easy to load in .338 and .308 cal. I also have a box in 6mm 70gr for my 6x45 which I have not tried yet. Even throughout the big component shortage they got all of my orders out in less than a week, typically the next day. Someone must be...

Nosler starting to piss me off...

Friend of mine spent close to a mil in Bend last year moving his construction business. Only took him one season to figure out it isn’t the place it used to be. He high tailed back to TX. Sorry for the bad service. Doesn’t do any of us any favors to have to deal with that. I hope they are...

    Gathering parts

Thanks. I have since fired the heavy one mentioned above. I’ve got a pile of 69gr benchrest bullets and H322. The first ten rounds just kept making the hole bigger.

I’ll use it for winter time deer harvest. Yes I say harvest, it isn’t hunting it’s more like shopping.

    Worst brass?

Really the only brass I’ve had that was pure junk from new was Hornady 300 H&H. They were all .025 short at the case head/shoulder datum (headspace) and as such the initial stretch caused them to separate on the second firing. Pity because the cartridge is getting hard to find brass for.

    Gathering parts

Yes, probably very similar to a Douglas #2. I’m going to start at 22 inches just because I like the proportions with that particular stock. I am hoping to end up 7# or less with a Leupold 2.5-8 which may or may not be realistic. I usually miss the mark by several lbs. haha.

    Gathering parts

Got the barrel this week which was the last piece of the puzzle. We had a little miscommunication but Hart Barrels totally took care of it. Can’t say enough good about those folks. I have decided to send the parts to a professional this time. It’ll be fun to see how it turns out. Sent to...
