I never would have imagined that the .270 could be within spitting distance of a magnum rifle round, but it is! When it can come within 36fps, it’s a lot faster than I expected.
I know 150’s do an excellent job.

Yeah, between the .270, or .30-06, I think if I had to choose 2 rifles, they would be it.
But I know I would probably use the .270 way more.

I’m thinking if I use a 130gr AB, it might serve me very well, even on the big stuff, like elk, in a pinch.
But, I know a 150 gr AB can serve double duty, and be a better suited bullet for elk, and moose, and not too heavy for deer.

I did the same exact same thing back in the 80’s.
The only difference was, at that time, I got the 7mm Rem Mag. Looking back, I didn’t need the Mag. I think the .270 would’ve suited me as well, if not better.
I fully believe you what you said about the 140’s! Savage 110’s are just that amazing...
