Brass for .270 WSM seems non existent these days. It was readily available when Winchester was pushing the new cartridge of the day when it first came out. Hope someone makes another run of it soon.
How many times did you fire your brass before the primer pockets got loose enough for them to fall out? My experience with this cartridge is the brass don't last long if your pushing the limit.
Pillars are the best, however carbon stocks are very stable as far as expansion and contraction. Your initial idea of bedding around the recoil lug and just behind the recoil lug is a good place to start. You need to bed under the tang as well. What type of bedding compound are you going to...
I have one of the wi fi bore scopes. It works fine. I took this pic of an AR barrel with less than 200 rnds thru it. It was pitching bullets all over the place.. I hope this helps answer your question.
I would stick with the 10 twist unless you plan on shooting a bullet like the long range accubond.. I've been shooting my 10 twist .270 for 40 years with no problems with 130 and 150 grain bullets.
I used to reload to save money when I first started out. I reload now to get the most accuracy out of my rifles I can get now. No factory ammo can do that for me at any price. I still buy some target loads for shotguns but they have to be good enough hulls to reload. I bought a box of factory...
Yikes is right! This world we live in now. You either pull the trigger now or maybe not get what you need? I've been a victim of this too. I think some of the things we all see in stock..for sale right now, may have been ordered by suppliers possibly a couple years ago? Just my thought and thats...
I would post a like to your price of eggs...but I don't think much of the price..so, Im gonna agree with you! This is out of control! I paid 5.20 for diesel after work today. God help us all.
I agree with you man. The bad part now isn't only the price but the availability is almost zero. When you find something you want or need, it's like a 50 yd sprint to hit the button. I've been hunting for .257 Accubonds for a year... you can guess that I haven't found any. My first days of...
