Yes I'm using the 125 BT to hunt with and they are awsumm bullets but I'm just a lil concerned about a straight on shoulder shot with the BT.I don't shoot for the shoulder ever but on a running shot the shoulder hit is possible .This is why I was asking about the AB in the 125grain.
Was just wondering if there might be a chance someone from nosler might be monitoring this, that could tell me if nosler has any plans to make a 125gr AB in 30cal. :?:
Yote not sure if this will help you or not but I have a browning bar in a 280 rem. that simple loves hornady's factory loaded 139 grain sst bullets ,it's just there standard load not the light magnum stuff .Hope this helps ya out a lil..
I haven't attempted to load for it yet that factory load that I mentioned earlier shoots so darn good I don't think I can improve on it by reloading .But I probably will try to work me up a load for it just to save a lil money .. :)
Romex I kinda got a feeling you have a stock that's giving you some grief.Have you tried running a piece of paper between the barrel and stock to see if you have any tight spots other than the pressure point out on the end of the stock ?
Well J D338 you where right about the varget powder I managed to find some and 50gr and the 125BT seated to 2.750 gave me 3/4 inch group .Thanks for the info ..Geo.
J D I'm not good at posting pics but can describe the box is black with red and green sticker running the length of the top and sides white oblong circle on top of the box it says 100 solid base bullets Nosler .30Cal.(.308)-150 Grain on top of box.The O.A.L. of one of these bullets is 1.196....
J D these are a Ballistic tip but they are some I have had for along time was wondering if they where some of the earlier bullets that where extremely explosive the o.a.l is shorter than what nosler web site says there B t are now....
I have a box of 100 nosler solid base part#39585 150gr. bullets are these the same as the nosler 150gr Bt that they are making now or are they different from the ones there making now ?????
Wish I had some of either powers pop but here is what i have to work with IMR3031,IMR4895, IMR4064,IMR4350,IMR4831,H4831 H380,H322,H450,and r/l#19 out of these which would you recommend...
Wildcat if you don't mind me asking what depth are you seating your bullets too...
Ridgerunner I haven't run the numbers on the b.c either the nosler is a much better looking bullet but looks don't make one perform .It's unreal how well my gun will shoot the 125gr. sierra ..
