nope, 55 gr. Nosler was my first bullet of choice. next winter I may try some others, I have quite a few of the Barnes 40 gr. Varminator, and alot of the Speer 50 gr. TnT. Both of those are more likely to stay inside the coyote, but how will they kill? time will tell :grin:

so far 3/3 for complete penetration. and yes, I had my B&C fiberglass stock away to be painted, so my 223 was wearing a VLS laminate :)

Ive shot two coyotes wth the 55 gr. BT, exit both times hell, Ive had the 55 NBT whistle through a 80 lb wolf broadside :oops:

Got a few predators this winter with the 55 gr. Ballistic Tip @ 3235 fps out of my m700 LVSF 223 Remington. 250 yards - did three or four eggbeater spins and then a 60 yard death sprint 75 yards - did three of four eggbeater spins and then flopped 145 yards - three or four eggbeater...

I'd go with a 160 gr. Partition or Accubond Powders to try would be IMR 4831, H4831, RL19, RL22, IMR 7828, & H1000

.418 is the BC I use H4831sc with the 110 gr. AB in my 25-284 for 3175 fps & .85" groups

Accubond is a polymer tipped boat tail with a lead core bonded to the bullet jacket Partition is, well, a Partition

nice buck, and encouraging report I shoot the 110 gr. AB in my 25-284, under 1" groups & 3180 fps avg. good shooting! :grin:

if Nosler can make a better bullet than the 130 gr. Triple Shock I think we'd have a giant slayer on our hands :shock: :grin:

I'd go 165 gr.

just seems like a waste to use a flat point bullet in a flat shooting high velocity round like the 284. you dont see people loading round nosed bullets in a STW do ya :P

I'd be trying H4350 w/ the 180 gr. AB's Ive also had good luck with the 180's with WXR, but it was with a Speer spitz.

I wouldnt push them much faster than 2600 fps... :!: why not use a 140 gr.???? :?
