Norma mrp seems to be right around rl22 if that is easier to find there. And from some of the ql projections appears to be quite the powder.have no experience with it but have been considering working up a load with it.
You may take the 57 gr load and 3 rounds each with a seating depth.015-.020" deeper to see if the group will tighten. How far off the lands are you. I have seen a few rifles that do not like partitions but not often. I have always been able to get the accubonds to shoot well. But looking at the...

Nydan. I have done lots of research on sorting brass by weight and water overflow capacity sorting bullets by weight. Etc. And have come to the conclusion unless you are bench rest shooting for every .001"
1" you can gain its really not worth it. I have...
I actually like sportsmans warehouse better than bass pro and cabelas purely for the fact they normally have a better reloading supply abd they don't get near as busy as the big places
:-) that is true but it's quite amazing how technology and the desire for bigger and faster continues to create cartridges that can do such amazing things. No matter what I believe fotis has us all beat with his 375 vm2. I think we could do a little ackleying on that puppy
The Norma mag would also be very cool. But I think that brass availability could be a big set back. Is it safe to say that a 338 rum can shoot the same velocity as the lapua if both were say 28" barrels. The lapua almost seems like a vanity rifle. Don't get me wrong they are sweet rigs and shoot...
I have been contemplating building a new rifle for a while now... such a hard decision on what to build. I have been thinking something in the rum chambers. I have a 300 rum. The 338 really grabs my attention but a 7rum would be really sweet with the 175 ablr. My other thought was a 338 lapua...
I would venture to guess 68.5 gr and seat deeper .010 at a time. With weatherby free bore the.bullet may need to jump more. Which is very non typical of a cup and core bullet but being that factory is shorter and shoots well I would go that route
Add much as I like the reloader powders and many others I have since very recently switched to mostly western powders. Mostly ramshot. Reason being is availability and price. I have recently secure a connection with the lead ballistician at western powders. Come to find I have known him for some...
Sendero try mag pro or magnum. I'm using 64.0 gr of magnum with the 150 ablr in my 24" 270 win. Velocity average is 3054. Accuracy is .5" I did work up to 66.5 gr where I met pressure. Magpro gave me 2950 where accuracy was best. But it was right at moa on a good day. I was unable to shrink...
Ya I thought it was interesting on how barrel length had always been the longer the faster but it shows how at one point a shorter barrel had slightly increased velocity
Yup good shooting. I have found that one rifle can shoot well with one powder. And that seems very common yet it is very uncommon to have a rifle that will shoot multiple powders well. Tune that seating depth and you should be looking good to stretch the legs of that 270 a little.
