Hi fellas, I'm looking for 1-3 bear hunters to join me for a spring bear hunt in Timmons Ontario which is about 7 hours north of Toronto Ontario, you can PM me for any details.
The outfitter is Thunder stock outfitters, you can check out their web site also...
Well as far as the rifle goes, it shoots lights out day in and day out, I'm not worried about it at all  ..I just had to refine my zero a tweek, no big deal, it could of been the temperature or just me with my cheek weld while shooting in hotter weather than back in march with the extra...
Thanks Mike, yeah he was a little rubbed on the hind quarters, almost passed on him, but the rest looked good through my scope  ..I'm not getting a rug done, but instead doing a half mount with open mouth with some habitat as well, should be done in 2-3 months, I'm sure you'll be pleased...
His bear was 150 pounds, he was shooting a browning x bolt in 300 win mag also, 180gr Remington factory ammo, the bear went 50 yards after the shot.

Thanks Jim, man those 180gr partitions perform flawlessly!..I guess you know the meat well be all sausage smokies, but wait until you see the mount that I'm doing  ..this is my only hunt for the year, so I'm going to do this guy right!
Lou
Thanks Mike :) ..Man, I shot that bear just before 5pm, and had to wait until 10pm to be picked up from my stand  ..long 5 hours to wait, or walk 5 miles, it would of been nice to take some nice pics in the bush, oh well!..anyways, this boar only had 1 claw (missing 4 of them) on his left...
Sorry guys, I got home late last night, anyways the 180gr partition (PP) performed like advertised and made a 2" entry hole, and about a 1.5" exit hole breaking ribs both in and out, he's a good bear with some rub marks on the hind quarters, not good enough for me for a rug, or life size mount...
I know hunters that have missed or wounded game even closer than that Mike, things happen, but not for me, 50 or 350, sane thing, gotta put that bullet were he lives pal ☺

Hi fellas, I got to camp late Saturday afternoon, got all my gear unpacked etc, started hunting Sunday afternoon, I was in my tree stand at 4:15 pm, boy it didn't take long, at about 4:45 a nice Bear came out and played around the bait without any decent shot opportunity , the he finally gave me...
I have to agree also, also when I sighted in back in march, its was very cold, I was wearing my heavy hunting coat, 2 weeks ago I was just wearing shorts and a t-shirt, could of also been my LOP, and the way I was shouldering my rifle off a sand bag at the bench, either way, I'm still shooting...
