It is a tough bullet. Really good Alaskan bullet do the bigger 458s. I think it would be fine in the 45/70 ran hard. I run that bullet at 2760fps in my 458 Lott.

The 10mm penetrates pretty good for what it is. IIRC this was shot on ft rich while they were moose hunting.

I’ve only killed one turkey. I used a Mac cab over striper truck used for road marking. That turkey drove thru the grill like a lawn dart, taking out the radiator killing both the truck and the turkey.
