.280AI Berger 140g Hunting VLD help

A friend of mine recently purchased a Kimber Subalpine chambered in .280AI. He has 100 Rounds of Nosler Brass and would like to load Berger 140g Hunting VLD's. What powder would you recommend us trying? Could anyone with Quickload share some load data with me, specifically starting and max...

    Moose hunt?

WT, I did a DIY Alaskan Moose hunt in 2013. We had a good hunt. Hired an air taxi to fly us into a spot 45 miles off the road. It was great. We harvested one bull out of 3 hunters and all shared in the work packing it to the air strip. It took 2 days to pack (11) 80 lb loads of de-boned meat and...

    Wisconsin hunting

15-20 years ago Wisconsin boasted one of the best whitetail populations of the nation. The DNR's unlimited $2 doe tags, an uncontrolled wolf poulation, a few harsh winters, and the discovery of CWD has had long lasting negative effects on the deer herd across the state. The DNR ended the $2 doe...

    270 WSM Mountain Rifle ideas

I love my X-Bolt 270 WSM stainless hunter. It's the rifle I reach for most often in the gun cabinet. The Tikka intrigues me as well. I'm sure you will be happy with either.
