A friend of mine had the barrel of the barrel on his 243 chopped down to 18". I would like to now if anyone has any loads they would like to share in the 55 to 75 gr range but open to all bullet weights. The rifle is Remington 700 adl.

If you sort the 105 Noslers there very accurate I was hitting milk jugs yesterday at 800 yards wind was blowing 10 to 15 mph that's not to bad. The little 80 gr Berger varmit shoots surprisingly well out of a 1/8 twist barrel but come to of it the 6 mm br shoots every thing good.

When get your 6 mm br up and going you might not shoot the rest of your rifles as much.

Scopes without homes your going to have too fix that :mrgreen:

I think it was around 3100 fps and the load was 31.1gr of varget cci450 primer and lapua case.

DF a 1/8 twist shoots 80 gr bergers and 75 gr vmax extremely well so your 8.5 should have no problem with your 87gr vmax.
