Any good hunting bullet that you would use in a 45-70 would work in the 458 SOCOM. The 300gr Speer would be my pick for supersonic rounds. For subsonic I would look at these two.

I'm interested in reading your review on the Z6 versus the Leica. Really like how clear my Leica 3.5-14x42 is compared to both of my Zeiss Conquests. That Z6 with the #4 and BT is a cool combo.
The WWG "Happy Trigger" was a must upgrade for my 1895 45-70. It made a huge difference in pull weight and feel. Also put the WWG oversized loop lever and Bear proof extractor in the rifle.
Jake "Jmad 81" used a Benchmark for his 338-375 build and I think his 6.5 SAUM also? Had nothing but good things to say about them. I'm sure he will be along with details.
I would go with a good AR-15 since shots would be 100 yards or less. Makes for quick follow up shots on multiples. Spend the extra money on scope, e caller, and light rather than building an expensive bolt gun.
Wonder why I would pick the 6x47? Who would have told me about it? What is the brand of the trigger? Scotty said he thought it was a 40x or some type of Remington match trigger.
Thanks Joel, CL, BK, and Jake.
That Elite has one heck of a power range. Hope to have some results by Sunday.
He is a pro enabler with many more on here!
Think I have my new pig rifle when I take the wife on this Hawaiian vacation the Doc is talking about
I'm still amazed at how many friends knew about this and kept it a complete secret.
Think I should hang on to her
Both and a LR steel ringer. Maybe a P dog killer in 2014?
