Pop,
Not arguing but I have a USA made Wby Mark V in 7mm Wby and it shoots wonderfully. I currently have it in pieces on my reload bench and consider it to be a quality firearm. I wouldn't trade it fer nuthin.
In pieces just because I always want to see what makes 'em tick, have not had this...
The main difference is that s.s. cools faster at the range on a day of hard shooting so not so much down time between group sessions.
Other than that....don't matter to me. Corrosion-X makes my blued guns wear like stainless.
Jack O'connor, the man who made the 270 famous said, "IF the 280 Remington would have been handed to me before I got started with a 270 Winchester, I doubt I would have ever picked up a 270."
280 Rem's are the ultimate in my book. With a 150 gr Partition, there's not much that it won't put...
From Jarrett Rifles Website:

If I had to lay my finger on one thing that really brought Jarrett Rifles to the dance it would be the .280 Improved...

You are right Bruce. I experienced the same thing with RL22. But, not everybody lives in Texas.
I use RL22 exclusively and it is the finest for me in several cartridges. I'm gonna stick with it.
Chet,
One of my hunting buddies told me last season: "You guys oughtta stick around and you'll see the biggest Whitetail in the state of Texas.........my girlfriend will be up here around dark."
We still joke about it.
Rifleman,
I purchased a 7-08 from Competitor back in 1987. The trigger was horrible. Al told me to send it back and he'd fix it. I never saw it again. 100's of phone calls, excuses and empty promises accomplished zero results. He still owes me $487.00.
Good deal JD. You'll like that lightning bolt shooter. I finally found me a Model 700 in 280 Remington. Put a synthetic stock on her. Waiting on a new trigger guard and I am "too legit 2 quit!" Can't touch this.
Haven't put any glass on it yet but I will. so far it is my project gun. I love my...
84.5 gr IMR 7828 with 180 Accubonds & CCI250's prints .500 groups from my Enocre barrel. Bullet seating works best for me when I seat the base of the bullet to the base of the case neck. Works in both my 300 Wby & 7 Wby. First targets on both were 3 shots fired and two holes on the paper. That...
RL22 was magic in my 270 Win & 270 Imp. 58 gr of RL22 yeilded 2800 in my 15" barrel. When it was rechambered the velocity rose to 2950.
RL22 & IMR 7828 are nearly identical twins and the only two powders I use in my shootin irons.
Awesome stuff.
I just purchased a second 45 Colt so I could hunt with my original. I'll keep you posted.
JD,
Can you send your email address to Doug.Rogillio@nrgenergy.com?
Big Rifle Man,
I suggest you beware of dealing with this guy, Al & his lying wife Dorothy. He cheated me out of $487 about 10 years ago. If I ever see him I am gonna skin him and mount the hide on my wall.
I called the Attorney General's in his state but he told me it would cost me more than...
Sorry, this is all I could find.

R Flowers,
The Imperial product was not created specifically for the reloading industry. It was originally intended for Machine Shop use in Millwright applications. Our hat's off to the Blue Collar man.
