What?! And it get it dusty!?! :o
I don't know where I have the build sheet for that rifle, so I cannot confirm that it was a Schneider barrel, but it was accurate!
Too much gun for a doe though, isn't it?
I was considering the suppressed .308 Ruger GSR with 165gr. GMX.

Forget the Y-O. It is a shadow of its former self. There are a lot of ranches that are bigger, better managed, and less expensive all over the Hill Country..

I don't know how different the Voere action is from other commercial Mauser 98s is, but you could get a utility grade stock from Richard's Micro-Fit, Boyd's, Jack First, or Numrich and complete the inletting yourself.

Leupold Vari-X III 2.5x-8x was my choice for my LH Sako Finnbear, I use the same model scope on my LH M-70 .375H&H, too.
It is reliable, rugged, lightweight, and has never lost zero on either rifle.

Ignore the twist rates in the manuals until you see bullets coming apart or keyholing on the target.
Load the bullets you want to use in increments of powder charge. The proper load will show itself.
My Savage 10FLP (1 in 9" twist) shoots bullet weights from 50grs. to 63grs. well.

Hornady V-Max 20gr. is explosive, but the 17gr. Hornady used in the HMR is even more so.
Hornady also has a 15.5gr. NTX (lead-free), but they haven't released it to handloaders yet.
