hi everyone!
i'm having an argument with someone about terminal ballistics.
so i tought about starting a poll on nosler forum to see what guys in here think of it.
please take 30 sec to answer which of the 2 following statement is true.
if the majority think's like him, i'll let him win :roll...
mcseal2, no the bushnell dont give adjusted yardage, it gives true yardage and ajusted drop.
like you, it's pointless for me as i also use ballistic reticle
they do give both yardage in bow mode but only to 90 yards.
i wrote to bushnell to make them aware of this, but no answers...
thank's to all of you for the good comments.
Sarah is in her second year in a enriched english class, and she's getting more and more bilingual
i'll have her read this post for practice
Guy, that's also what i do with their ''trophies''
Hi all!
my youngest dauther tried hunting for the first time this year.
she turned 12 this spring, so is now old enough to hunt here in Quebec. since 2008 the fish and game here allow someone who never hunted before to call and get an hunting initiation number.
which after you get it, allow the...
that was at my brother's place in Manitoba. A lot more field than bush over there
My rifle has a break, I shoot my friend's unbreaked one sometimes with 150 and 165 bullets.
But I would certainly not be comfortable shooting the 200 grainers.
In fact my rum with the 200's kick noticeably...
In fact i have no merit we found it because it was still in the field.
Had he made it to the wood, we would most probably have lost him :?
Sorry, if that part was not clear.
i had a bad experience with 180 gr corelokt ultra.
when remington quit offering the 180 gr partition as factory load for my 300 ultra. i contacted them to ask why they did. their answer, we came up with something even better, the 180 gr corelokt ultra... i knew it was b.s. but i was not into...
A little update
I beddedbthe first 3" of the barrel under the chamber.
I went to test the change, and it seems to have improved things.
But due to pouring rain I only fired 6 shots. first 3 shot group had the 1st and 3rd round in the same hole and the second made it a 0.53" group.
I then tried...
Thank's beetee
My action is already bedded with devcon steel putty.
And I still have plenty for the job. My stock is Plastic
Will try bedding the first 2" today and will go shoot it tomorrow
We'll see if it improve something
picked this one, in this deer last season, impact velocity approx. 2500 fps
retained weight 142.8 gr. (95%)
frontal diameter average .565" (2x expansion)
bullet entered at a hard angle in the right ham and was found in the skin on the far side it passed between rib number 6 and 7 from the back
i...
thank's MG and beetee
i dont really care what most shooter's think. even if it' just too 1910 but make it shoot great i will do it
that sure would stiffen that piece of plastic :!:
somebody did this! bed the whole barrel?
is there something to know about this method or do i only fill...
hi all!
last winter i bedded my savage 16flhss to try and improve accuracy i only glass bedded the action and stopped at the barrel nut. i tought i'd try it like that first and if it didn't work, i'd bed the first 4 " of the barrel just in front of the barrel nut also.
well...i'm there. want to...
Thank's Scotty
I see no sign of pressure on the 260 even in hot weather so i'll keep the load then!
As for the 7 wsm i'd qualify the accuracy as erratic  still trying to find what's the cause.
I only tried the scirocco 150 gr so far. But plan on trying the 140 accubond soon (as you saw)...
thank,s scotty
just checked on hodgdon data and max is the same at 46.5 for a 120 gr. spr sp.
is it the shape of the bullet that changes max load data?
ouff! you guys scare me!
i've been reloading for my wife's model7 in 260 for 2 years with 46.5 gr h-4350 for chronoed velocity of 2950 fps average. i used my Lee reloading book 120 gr jacketed bullet data for load development. they list 46.5 gr as max and velocity of 2960.
what do i do now...
hi!
can someone run a quickload with the 140 gr accubond, and imr7828 and h4350, for the 7mm wsm.
i know i would get more performance out of the 160 grainer but it will be a deer load only
as i use my 300 rum and 200 partition for moose. and my 7 mil as a 1/10 twist so i expect better accuracy...
Thanks guys, i see that 140 grainer have the votes, but as said, the corelokt just seem to pencil thru, so i would expect the partition to be the same or worse,no?
